A painting exhibition from Hilmar Højgaard has been opened in the library in Hveragerdi. Hilmar is from the Faroe Islands and his painting have been on display in Reykjavik and Eyrarbakki earlier in the summer.This is not the first time Hilmar has had his paintings in Hveragerdi, in the year 2006 he had an exhibition in Eden and almost every painting was sold. His inspiration comes from the real life in the Faroe Islands in the past and present. Hilmar lives in Saltnes on Austurey in Faroe Islands and the village is a part of a community that has a town friendship with Hveragerdi.
The exhibition is open till the end of October and is open at the same hours as the library. Monday - Friday from 14:00 - 19:00, on Tuesdays till 21:00 and on Saturdays from 11:00 - 14:00.
